Description:
ATCy-XXI V3.1 is our PCB version of Nick Sukkov "Cy-XXI" prono preamplifier.
You can find additional information at www.diyaudio.com forum and his patreon.
The main features of Nich Sukhov design are low noise and aperiodic correction, which eliminates the input capacitor (usually individual for teach cartridge), but require the input cable (cartridge-preamplifier) with capacitance as low as possible. Alsoo good practice it to install preamplifier to the turntable, close to tonearm bottom.
Difference from the original version:
Dual transistor (BC846BDW1T1G ) instead of single ones (BC546B) at the second stage.
Dual OPA2192 instead on the single OPA192
Low noise voltage regulator (TPS7A39)
NPO (C0G) ceramic and acrylic film capacitors and thin film resistors at the signal path
Output mute relay with timer, significantly reduces the "boom" during power on/off.
Optional shutdown input
4-layer PCB with special attention to heat distribution.
last original version was 1 channel (so 2 PCB is required
Measurements of the frequency response on white noise from the disk, THD and IMD from the generator through the head equivalent and the Anti-RIAA circuit.
